Cottage Life is a Canadian television channel owned by Blue Ant Media that was originally known as Country Canada from 2001 until September 4, 2013, when it was re-launched as Cottage Life after the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) decided to reduce the amount of rural-themed programming it aired in favour of entertainment programs and CBC Sports overflow, and because of budget cuts at the CBC, the network was sold to its current owners, Blue Ant Media, and re-branded as Cottage Life on September 4, 2013. Cottage Life airs a variety of programming focusing on the cottage and rural lifestyle genre within the core themes of do-it-yourself and design, food and entertaining, real estate, and outdoor living.
